West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey, Republican, on Wednesday (11/26) corrected information that two National Guard agents died in a shootout near the White House. Minutes after announcing the alleged death, he said in a post on social media that the data about the soldiers’ condition is contradictory, and that there is still no official confirmation.
“We are receiving conflicting information about the health status of our two National Guard members and will provide additional updates once we have more complete data. Our prayers are with these brave service members, their families, and the entire National Guard community,” he said.
