This afternoon, the Disciplinary Court of the Argentine Football Association announced the ruling announcing the penalty against Estudiantes de la Plata after the match against Rosario Central and the famous “back” lane. At the same time, the penalty imposed on players from the professional team was detailed since the court established the existence of a directive “It does not exclude disciplinary responsibility for the players who decided to abide by it.”. Regarding the punishment for the football players, the Disciplinary Court explained: ““Punishment with two (2) dates of suspension against Estudiantes de La Plata club players who participated in the Hall of Honor and committed disgraceful behavior.”. 2°) Sanction with two (2) suspension dates for the players of Estudiantes de La Plata who participated in the Hall of Honor and adopted the defective behavior, defined in the present procedures – among them Muslera Micol Nestor Fernando, Gomez Román Agustín, Núñez Santiago Misil, Palacios Thiago Asil, Farias Facundo Hernán, González Pérez Leandro Martín, Arzamendia Santiago Daniel, and Citri Angulo. Edwin Stephen, Piovi Lucas Ezequiel, Medina Christian Nicolas, and Amundaraine Mikel Jesus, on charges of violating art. 12 of the Disciplinary Code.

3°) To stipulate that the suspensions imposed in point 2° will be counted in the next official tournament in which Estudiantes de La Plata participates with the men’s professional team, and must be implemented on the basis of the matches already played by the team, and in such a way that the penalty is proportional and does not affect the integrity of the ongoing competition.

4°) Imposing the ban on player No. 6 Nuez Santiago Misil, captain of the first team of Estudiantes de la Plata, in addition to the penalty stipulated in the previous point, which is the ban on exercising the position of captain of any official team of the above-mentioned club for a period of three (3) months, as an additional measure depending on his own leadership status and the disciplinary powers of this court.
