One of the Deputy Leaders of the Workers’ Party, Washington Kawawa, has invited the influential Chico Moedas to enter politics and join the Workers’ Party. The call made by Quaqua, who is also Marica City Mayor (RJ), was made on Monday (11/17), on the X social network, where he praised Chico for his ideological influence.
“I affirm the call and repeat: politics must become more and more aerodynamic, must represent the people and listen to all voices. The left must learn to do this and expand this project,” Kawa wrote, when commenting on the news of the call.
In justifying this call, the Mayor of Marica noted that the left needs to be more involved and that the influencer will be a key player in moving the project forward.
The invitation comes after Chico Moedas, who currently has more than two million followers on social media, participated in a podcast alongside historian Jones Manuel, a left-wing content creator, and shared his political ideology. At one point in the podcast, Jones asked if Chico had already been called to run for political office, to which he replied no.
At this point, Jones joked that the idea of him running for office was open and stated that Kawawa could mediate Chikwe’s transition into politics.
