
The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) arrested a 28-year-old man accused of attempted murder in the early hours of Monday (10/11) at the Plano Piloto bus station. The crime could have been motivated by a debt of R$100.00.
After the attack, the suspect fled the scene. Teams from the 1st Battalion’s Operational Tactical Group (Gtop 21) began a search and gathered information indicating that the man had moved to Taguatinga.
Search operations were intensified, and at approximately 11:30 p.m., the suspect was located and arrested.
During the approach, the suspect confessed to the crime and claimed that the motive was a debt of R$100.00. According to the police, he did not show any remorse or concern for the victim’s condition. The man was taken to the fifth police station.
The victim, who was stabbed in the neck, remains in hospital in serious condition.
Criminal history
The suspect, identified as Reiner Oliveira Santos, has previous convictions for robbery, theft, receiving and drug trafficking.

Motives
According to PMDF, the victim had contracted a debt with the suspect and had not paid the amount. Furthermore, he allegedly stole the cell phone from one of Reiner’s associates and became involved with the girlfriend of another group member, which would have escalated the conflict.
