PRO National Representative and former Mayor of Pinamar Martin Yeza visited the editorial office of EL DÍA yesterday, as part of a tour to present his book on artificial intelligence applied to politics “The Fifth Power”, which he implemented at the Universidad del Este. During an interview broadcast live to this newspaper, the leader assessed the overall situation of the organization and its relationship with the government of Javier Miley. “We are a coalition, and we have to build by 2031,” he said.
Regarding the moment the party is going through, he said that the party is in the midst of an internal reorganization process and must rebuild its identity so that it does not weaken in the face of the liberal government. After his participation in the last National Council, Yeza confirmed that Mauricio Macri’s leadership there had been approved and an attempt to establish a political reference after a year of “confusion” after his departure from power.
The MP described that “post-Marismo” left the party without clear leadership, with leaders moving according to current accommodations and with Miley emerging as an agent for urgent reorganization. In this context, he acknowledged that the Public Relations Authority suffers from leaks, fractures, and the risk of losing its own image.
In addition to proposing to “build a strong power structure by 2031,” Yeza stressed that the CHP supports key laws to ensure governance, but warned that legislative support does not mean political inclusion. “It is one thing to help the government do its job and it is another thing to lose its image,” he said, although he highlighted that today there is a more structured dialogue on the reforms under discussion. “If the government does well, maybe it will cost PRO in 2027. But you can’t build on the expectation that the other government will do poorly,” he concluded.
