On Saturday, Vitoria hosted 29 Mirasol, in the 36th round of the Brazilian Championship, in Paradão, El Salvador. With goals from Lucas Halter and MatthewZenioFrom a penalty kick, the home team won 2-0.
With this result, Vitoria reached 42 points and got out of the relegation zone. The Bahian team jumped to 15th place and left Internacional in Z4. Colorado has 41 points, which is the same as Santos, the first team outside the relegation zone.
On the other hand, Mirasol, already guaranteed in the next edition of the Copa Libertadores, remained in fourth place with 63 points.
Now, Vitoria returns to the field on Wednesday, the 3rd, at 7pm (Brasilia time), when they visit Red Bull Bragantino, in the postponed match of the 34th round of the Brazilian Championship, at the Estádio Municipal Cicero De Souza Marques, in Bragança Paulista.
Mirasol faces Vasco on the second Tuesday, at 7pm, in the 37th round of the Brazilian League, in São Januario, in Rio de Janeiro.

The duel between Vittoria and Mirasol
Vitoria opened the scoring in the 24th minute. After a corner kick, Mirasol’s defense moved away and Eric stayed with the rest. The striker crossed and Lucas Halter headed it in. Walter saved the first goal, but on the rebound the defender sent the ball into the goal.
At 41 years old, Mirasol had the best chance to equalize the match. Alisson received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and shot it the first time. The ball went off the crossbar and crossed the goal line.
In the second half, Sao Paulo had 80% of the ball and put pressure on Vitoria, but they were unable to equalize.
Finally, Christian stomped on Ramon inside the box. After reviewing VAR, the match referee awarded a penalty kick to the home team. Matheusinho was in charge of the attack and scored Vitoria’s second goal in the 42nd minute.
