Where was Trump when the shooting occurred near the White House?

On the eve of Thanksgiving, one of the most traditional holidays celebrated by Americans, US President Donald Trump is staying at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The site is more than 1,300 kilometers away from the attack that occurred on Wednesday afternoon (11/26) near the White House, the official residence of the presidency.

According to the Washington Post, to spread a message about the shooting on social media, Trump left one of his golf clubs to return to the resort. In a message published by the Truth social network, the Republican described the attacker as an “animal” and stated that he “will pay a very heavy price.”

“The animal that shot the two members of the National Guard, both of whom were seriously injured and are now in different hospitals, was also seriously injured, but regardless, he will pay a heavy price. God bless our great National Guard and all of our military and law enforcement forces. These are truly extraordinary people. I, as President of the United States, and everyone associated with the Presidency, stand with you!”

Vice President J.D. Vance was visiting military personnel and their families at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and asked for prayers for the victims, calling the incident a “grim reminder” of the dangers faced by military personnel serving on the front lines.
