
Everything is specific to the African continent. On Thursday (11/13), the semi-finals of the World Cup qualifiers were held. After defeating Gabon and Cameroon, Nigeria and Congo secured their places in the final of the qualifiers, respectively.

At Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, Nigeria, and Gabon entered the field at one o’clock in the afternoon (Brasilia time). The match was exciting until the end, and the position was not decided until extra time. After a 1-1 draw in regular time, Nigeria followed up the score in extra time and scored three goals.
During the 90 minutes, Adams opened the scoring for the Nigerians and Lemina equalized. In extra time, Ijok scored and Osimhem scored twice to ensure Nigeria’s 4-1 victory.
Later, also in Morocco, Cameroon and Congo entered the field with their eyes on the replay final. After 90 minutes of confrontation, the match was decided in stoppage time. In the 46th minute of the second half, Mbemba scored for Congo and secured victory over the favored team: 1×0.
With these results, Nigeria and Congo will be in the hunt for a place in the World Cup qualifiers. The decision will be made on Sunday (11/16), at 4pm (Brasilia time), in Morocco. Nine African teams have already guaranteed participation in the World Cup: Egypt, Senegal, South Africa, Cape Verde, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Tunisia and Ghana.
