Since it was announced The Mandalorian and Grogu In January 2024, a clear question hung in the air in the fandom of Star Wars: What will the film be about? Normally we suggest you take a look at the official synopsis to get an idea, but to say that what is offered by Lucasfilm It’s ambiguous would be an understatement.
The original premise was “your favorite characters’ first adventure on the big screen“And they were so comfortable. And it’s not like the current official synopsis offers much more:
Disney Plus from €6.99 per month

This platform has one of the largest and most varied catalogs in the streaming world, with constant classics and premieres.
“Continuation of ‘The Mandalorian’ series in film format. The evil Empire has fallen and Imperial warlords remain scattered across the galaxy. As the new Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, it has enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”.
Even the film’s teaser trailer offers little to offer in terms of the film’s overall premise. The Mandalorian and Grogubut the second part of the synopsis may have been leaked.
A Sith planet could be the setting for The Mandalorian and Grogu
Through Twitter (X), Mandoverse Updates highlights the extended synopsis from the German site bluray-disc.dewhere the first part of the premise, the one we shared before, includes an interesting extension:
“Several clues lead them to Khar’Zuun, where not only do they manage to infiltrate a nearly forgotten Imperial facility, but Grogu also discovers an ancient artifact that functions as an amplifier of his abilities.“.
We’ll start by highlighting that this expanded synopsis is unofficial at the time of writing, so we’ll treat it as a rumor.
That being said, Khar’Zuun fits into the nomenclature of two planets in regions that were once Sith territory: Khar Shian and Khar Delba. And that a mysterious artifact resonates in Grogu…
A film with the stars of The Mandalorian It certainly needs to offer something more than what we’ve already seen in the Disney+ series, so delving into Grogu’s development is a line that would explain this need to reach the big screen. The other, of course, is to fill the cinemas and make box office sales.
Hopefully, Lucasfilm will begin to lift the fog of mystery surrounding the film. Only six months left until The Mandalorian and Grogu arriving in cinemas around the world, the next May 22, 2026.
