We thought we wouldn’t see news on Resident Evil Requiem until early 2026, ahead of its release on February 27th, but Capcom still has things to reveal.
The Game Awards 2025 takes place from December 11th to 12th, a ceremony presented by Geoff Keighleyand now we know that survival horror will be part of the games at the Los Angeles show.
We’ve already seen one of its final bosses, Alyssa Ashcroft with her daughter, or even Grace fighting zombies like in Resident Evil 2 Remake. What will be next?
Fans are clear: they need to see Leon S. Kennedy in action. No one at Capcom confirmed that the veteran hero will be in Requiem, going so far as to say that fans were being “unfair” to them for that reason.
However, several leaks point to Leon’s return (at least as a secondary character) in this ninth numbered edition.

Via Twitter/X, Geoff Keighley confirmed that Capcom’s long-awaited survival horror will be one of the titles present at the ceremony, although everything indicated that we wouldn’t see any news until January.
He didn’t leave any clues (not even an image like the one of the happy statue in the desert that generated so much commotion), but he left time to watch the broadcast: remember that in Spain it will start at 1:30 am from December 11th to 12th.

Many think that Capcom is going all out in confirming Leon Kennedy, but, for now, the Japanese company remains firm in discarding the hero of Resident Evil 2 and 4.
Another game confirmed for the Peacock Theater gala is Exodus, the RPG from Archetype Entertainment that will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026.
