The causes of the accident are still under investigation
A serious accident, early in the afternoon of Tuesday (23), left a 12-year-old boy dead on the highway. The incident was recorded at km 31 of the highway, in Santo Antônio da Patrulha, on the north coast.

According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the vehicle involved, a Peugeot 206 registered Canoas, was traveling towards the coastal capital when the driver lost control of the steering wheel. The car left the road, collided with the metal fender and then overturned.
The driver was seriously injured and transported to medical treatment. In the passenger seat was the teenager, who succumbed to his injuries and died instantly.
The causes of the accident are still under investigation.
