Monet, immersive. From Monday to February 18th, a comprehensive exhibition on Claude Monet will be shown in the Experimental Center of the Teatro Colón. Daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets start at P34,500, available at Ticketek.
Art to give away. Nora Fisch Gallery (Avenida San Juan 701) opened Tiendita NF, a project promoting select art purchases: more than eighty works by emerging and established artists, priced between $300 and $1,500. And on Saturday, the Mar Dulce Gallery (Uriarte 1490) presents the 12th edition of its summer exhibition from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m Sweet for my sweetiewith works by more than 35 artists.
Paksa in Malba. Today at 7 p.m. The exhibition will open in Malba (Av. Presidente Figueroa Alcorta 3415). Margarita Paksa: corresponding ideas 1964-1984which will last until February 16th. Guided tours: Fridays at 5 p.m., from December 19th. General Admission: $9,000.
Rare Book Fair. A new edition of the Rare Book Fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (Av. San Juan 350). These are books that are difficult to find because of their scarcity, but are worth seeking out because of their bibliophilic value. From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., admission free.
Party at Libertad Palace. On Sunday, the Palacio Libertad will say goodbye to the year with a free, public party on its esplanade (Sarmiento 151) from 2 p.m. It will include a food fair, a mobile library, outdoor readings and DJ sets. At 5:30 p.m. The Argentine Air Force Concert Orchestra will perform a repertoire of Christmas carols. And finally, at 7 p.m., Zamba Quipildor will sing the Creole Mass, accompanied by the National Choir of Argentine Music and guest musicians.
Rehearsals in Recoleta. On Wednesday at 6 p.m. the Recoleta Cultural Center (Junín 1930) opens five exhibitions: Before the blinding, by Valentin Asprella Lozano; Kikinby Juan Jose Souto; Rocambole and the Garden of Spiritsby Ricardo Cohen and two others dedicated to Carlos Gorriarena and the writer Carlos Busqued. Free admission.
Conference. The conference will take place on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Restoring Caaporá: between paper and memorywithin the sample Caapora. Painted Bodies and American Travel in the Larreta Museum (Oath 2291). Cecilia Smyth and Evangelina Ramírez will present the restoration process of the works of Ricardo Güiraldes and Alfredo González Garaño, which are now on display at the Larreta Museum after more than a hundred years without being exhibited. The activity requires prior registration, has a limited number of participants and is included in museum admission.
