A 79-year-old woman died in the early hours of this Saturday when a house located in a building on Professor López Piero Avenue in Valencia caught fire, as reported by the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU). Firefighters were alerted to the incident around two in the morning.
Nine other people were treated by medical services for smoke inhalation: six of them are police officers who were released. on site; the other three, a 38-year-old woman transferred to Docteur Peset hospital, a 44-year-old man to the clinical hospital and a 26-year-old woman to the general hospital.
Until the fire, reported around 1:40 a.m., a SAMU unit, an SVB unit and a conventional ambulance were deployed.
For its part, the town hall indicated that agents of the National Police and the Local Police evacuated the houses and that a woman who asked for help from the balcony of the burned house provided her with water and wet towels.
Upon arrival of the firefighters and after entering the burned house by breaking the door and once inside the house, the work of extinguishing the fire and searching for possible victims begins.
During the search, a young woman was spotted on the balcony, apparently in good health. Later, in one of the rooms of the house, there is the charred corpse of a woman, without any signs of life. The Court and the Scientific Police took charge of the facts, according to the same sources.
