The main rain of millions of the extraordinary draw of the Christmas lottery 2025 is that of the number 79432. The first prize, the popular Gordo, which distributes 400,000 euros for every tenth winner (20,000 euros for each euro bet), fell mainly in León.
The first prize in this traditional draw took place at 10:45 a.m. and was awarded mainly in León, more precisely in La Bañeza, where 117 series were entered, in addition to 50 others in Villablino and 15 in Pola de Gordón and 16 in Madrid, in the Ciudad Lineal district. El Gordo was the fifth to come out of the grand prizes of the draw and arrived, in the fourth table, sung by Alba Yadira Machaca and Italy’s Andrea Blanco.
The winners of El Gordo take home, once taxes are deducted, 328,000 euros. During the Christmas Lottery draw, only winnings above 40,000 euros are taxed and the Treasury receives around 180 million euros, according to calculations by Gestha technicians.

The most notable novelty this year of the Christmas Lottery, celebrated since 1812, is the increase in production to 198 series, the highest number in recent history. The total issue thus reaches 3,960 million euros, including 2,772 million for prices, or 70 more than in 2024.
