The second stage of the 2025 Unified National Competition recorded a participation of 80% among the 42.7 thousand candidates qualified to take the discursive test. This rate is higher than that of the first phase of the event, which recorded an absence of 42% of those registered.
The candidates took the test this Sunday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in all states of Brazil. Abstention was highest in Acre (27%), Amazonas (26%) and Alagoas (21%).
The preliminary note will be published on January 23. There will be three calls for all vacancies and the final list will be announced on March 16. From then on, calls will begin for those selected to fill the position or begin training.
The figures were revealed during a press conference given by Minister Esther Dweck of Public Service Management and Innovation, the ministry responsible for organizing the competition. According to her, the test took place without incident.
Of the candidates qualified to take this step, 57% were women, while 48% were men. The minister stressed the importance of the gender equality measure to achieve this percentage.
According to the new rule introduced in this edition, when the percentage of women classified for the second phase (in any position) was less than 50%, there was an equalization of the number of women summoned in relation to the number of men, provided that they reached the minimum number of correct answers.
— If there was no equality policy, instead of this figure we would have 50% men and 49% women, it would be a different proportion — emphasized Esther Dweck.
CNU 2 offered a total of 3,652 vacancies, spread across 32 federal agencies, including 2,480 immediate vacancies and 1,172 reserve enrollment positions, covering mid- and senior-level positions.
