Nine out of ten voters do not regret having voted for the president in the 2022 elections, according to the new Datafolha survey, published Monday evening (12/8). Check the numbers:
- 91% do not regret their vote for president in 2022;
- 8% say they regretted it;
- 1% don’t know or didn’t answer.
The numbers are similar between the two candidates competing in the second round of the election. Among the voters of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), 91% do not regret their vote. Among those who voted for Jair Bolsonaro (PL), 92% say they would not change their vote.
Datafolha surveyed 2,002 people between Tuesday (02/12) and Thursday (04/12) in 113 municipalities. The margin of error is two percentage points, give or take.
Lula will defeat all his adversaries in 2026
The same Datafolha survey analyzed the voting intentions of the main candidates for 2026. If the second round of elections for the Palácio do Planalto took place today, Lula would beat Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) with a difference of five percentage points.
The survey gives the PT deputy 47% of voting intentions and the former Bolsonaro minister 42%. 10% of voters would vote blank or invalid, and 2% would not know how to answer.
According to the Datafolha survey, carried out before Flávio Bolsonaro announced his candidacy, it shows that Bolsonaro’s son 01 would lose by 15 points to Lula if the second round took place now.
The current president has 51% of voting intentions, while Flávio is chosen by 36% of those surveyed.
The institute also tested Lula’s performance against Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL), Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) and against the governors of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (PL), Ratinho Jr. (PSD) and Ronaldo Caiado (União), in addition to the name of Jair Bolsonaro himself. The PT member would win over everyone at that point.
