Civil Defense said there were no signs of material damage or injuries.
According to the town hall, the town’s mining companies have been called and reported that the dams are stable. As a preventative measure, the condition of the dams is monitored to check for possible structural changes after the earthquake.
A resident reported feeling her house shaking in a rural area. She and her husband remained leaning against the walls of the property until the earthquake passed.
In a press release, the town hall warned against the circulation of false information, in particular audio and messages with voices altered by artificial intelligence.
