A dog that was stoned in Icoaraci, district of Belém, at the beginning of the week and which caused great emotion, seems to be recovering from the attack suffered. The dog had lost some of his nervous reflexes and found himself in a serious coma. Now, with greater autonomy, he can take his first steps, which demonstrates the progress of treatment. The case gained visibility after a video was posted on social media showing a man throwing a stone at his dog.
In shock, the dog fell unconscious, was picked up by its paws and placed in a cart by the man. The Pará Civil Police confirmed to Earth that after the episode, investigations were carried out, in particular based on images from security cameras.
The man was arrested in the act and later informed where he had left the animal, allowing it to be located and taken to the veterinary clinic where it is recovering.
Police said the attacker, whose identity has not been revealed, suffered bodily injuries when he was attacked by members of the public before being taken to the police station. He remains at the disposal of Justice.
