The São Paulo Civil Police are investigating the disappearance of an audiovisual producer six days ago.
Helber Alves de Souza, 26, was last seen on Tuesday (23) leaving his sister’s house in Barueri, São Paulo metropolitan region. There was no further contact. Since then, family, friends and the police have been searching for traces of the young man.
Exchanges of messages indicate that, on Wednesday (24), around 2 a.m., he was near the Cidade Jardim station, on line 9-emerald of metropolitan trains, in the southern zone of the capital of São Paulo.
This Monday (29), an investigation was opened in the Barueri Central Police District to investigate the case. A police report had already been registered on Thursday (25) and investigations have been underway since then, according to information from the SSP (State Department of Public Security).
The family also asked the court to break the privacy of Helber’s phone and cellphone applications. The idea is to try to identify calls or car requests.
“For the moment, we have nothing. We are mainly waiting for images from the security cameras of the town hall, Smart Sampa and the station,” says Kelly Souza, the young man’s sister. “It’s taking too long.”
She reports that Helber left the house calmly and without any disagreement. “We never fought. His interaction with everyone, including his friends, was very good,” says Kelly.
On the day of his disappearance, the young man was wearing a white t-shirt, light shorts and Nike Air Force sneakers, according to his family.
A demonstration was planned for this Monday at 6 p.m., in front of the Cidade Jardim station, to demand the speed of the investigations.
