Known for creating the “Favela Forever” project, which seeks to defend victims of unjust accusations, lawyer Ewerton Carvalho reported a case of domestic violence and attempted femicide this Saturday (12/27) in Ferraz de Vasconcelos, São Paulo metropolitan region.
“So that the attempted femicide does not materialize, I chose to make this public complaint, and my sister also chose to make this public complaint, and not to remain silent in the face of this violence which massacres thousands of women in this country every year,” he said in the video posted on social networks.
At Metropolisesthe lawyer said his sister, Karina Carvalho, known on social media as Lady Vamp, was at a family party at a friend’s house on Friday (26/12). The accused, identified as tattoo artist Venâncio Augusto Andreotti, allegedly drank alcohol and said the woman was trying to insinuate herself with the other men at the party.

After disturbances, the duo were kicked out of the party and the suspect allegedly vandalized a taxi rank on the street. The attacks took place as they were returning home. “This worm tried to attack my sister’s face, it knocked out her tooth. If she hadn’t fought back it would have been worse, it would have knocked my sister out,” Ewerton said.
Record number of feminicides in SP
- The city of São Paulo recorded a record number of feminicides in 2025: there were 53 cases between January and October. Even without the events of November and December, this figure is the highest since 2015, when the historic series began.
- The data is made available by the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) on the basis of criminal records in which the aggravating circumstance of femicide was included in the police report.
- Statewide, 207 cases were recorded between January and October. In addition to the 53 cases in the capital, there were 101 cases inside the country and 40 in the metropolitan region, not including data from the city of São Paulo.
- The increase is 8% compared to the same period in 2024, when the state had recorded 191 cases.
The lawyer explained that he filed the complaint on social media shortly after filing the police report in order to protect his sister. “We see a lot of women dying while taking protective measures. I immediately thought of reporting the matter as quickly as possible, so that I could somehow protect her as a victim. So that the perpetrator would feel obligated to do anything against her. I decided to make this video so that people could know everything and also encourage other potential victims to come forward.”

After the video, the suspect allegedly called his family, cried and said he didn’t remember what happened.
“We live in a country where criminals feel free to move freely and continue to make threats, to persecute their victims. When we present the face of a criminal like this, so that people know who he is and everything that happened, we somehow manage to have this immediate combativeness until the authorities do something about this woman. The justice office has already sent the notification. It’s no guarantee of anything it’s okay, but my sister is protected and we’re doing what we legally can.”
The report did not locate Venâncio Augusto Andreotti’s defense. The space remains open for demonstrations.
