
A man attacked a friend with a frying pan during an altercation in Varzia Paulista, inside São Paulo, last Saturday (29/11). The 41-year-old victim was rescued in serious condition with injuries to his face and an open fracture in his right hand.
The case took place on Rua Victorio Spinucci Street, in the Jardim Promeca neighborhood. According to the victim’s son’s report, the two have been friends for 12 years, and the attacker frequents her family’s home. On the day of the attack, they were at a party held on a farm.
According to the son, when they left the farm, around 10:30 p.m., the two were drunk and started arguing in the middle of the street. During the dispute, the man threw an iron bowl at the victim’s face, causing him to fall to the ground.
After the attack, the woman tried to throw the same object at her friend’s car, but she fell again and lost consciousness. She was rescued by an ambulance and had two deep cuts on her face, an open fracture in her right hand, and a wound in her abdomen, according to the police report.

According to the latest update, the woman was transferred from the Várzea Paulista UPA to the Hospital of São Vicente de Paulo, in Jundiaí, where she underwent surgery on her right hand. She remains in hospital in serious condition.
The Public Security Secretariat said in a statement that the attacker fled the scene. “The case has been registered as bodily injury at the Varzia Paulista Police Station, which is taking steps to identify the perpetrator and clarify the facts. The victim has been notified about the six-month limitation period for filing criminal representation,” the department said.
