A man who brutally attacked a 32-year-old woman in front of a hotel in Aparecida de Goiania (GO), has died after a clash with military police officers from Goiás. One of the accomplices was arrested while the other managed to escape into a forested area in Trinidad. The victim suffered several bruises to his head and was left unconscious in a pool of blood.

Eduardo Duarte Leite, 26, died before medical help arrived. He was wanted before the courts for premeditated murder. Police do not yet know the motive behind the attack, but they suspect that the woman was attacked with a sharp object to her head, perhaps a wooden club or an iron tire.
The victim was transferred to Goiânia Emergency Hospital (Hugo), and his health condition has not yet been reported.
This case, which has already been investigated by the Civil Police of Goiás, seeks to clarify the motive behind the violence.
