A man killed his ex-wife and then committed suicide, in Diadema, in the São Paulo metropolitan area, on Saturday evening (6).
The couple, who had a son, had been separated for two months.
Military police were called following calls for help. The incident occurred on Yayá Street, in the Canhema neighborhood, around 10:15 p.m.
João Victor de Lima Fernandes, 31, broke down the door to the apartment of Milena de Silva Lima, 27, and attacked her with a knife, according to police.
A neighbor heard the cries for help and called the police. When the team arrived at the scene, according to the SSP (Secretariat of Public Security), they found the victim and the attacker dead.
Milena had several puncture marks, mainly on her chest and neck.
The scene was investigated and the knife was seized. The case was registered as feminicide and suicide at the 3rd Police District of the municipality.
