
The Civil Police of Tocantins has identified the suspect in the shooting death of a shopping center guard in Palmas, Tocantins. This is Valdisir José de Lima Jr., the fugitive. He is accused of shooting security guard Demis Augusto Santos, 35, in front of several people. Dhamis died after being shot in the stomach on Saturday night (11/29).
The mall’s surveillance cameras recorded the moment the man quarreled with the security guard, took out a gun and put it on the victim’s neck. The security guard attempts to grab the gunman’s arm, who then shoots the guard in the abdomen.
The crime occurred after an argument in the parking lot of Mercato Mall, at approximately 9:24 pm on Saturday. The driver, who was driving a Range Rover Evoque, fled after the crime. The victim was transported to the Palmas General Hospital by the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAMO), but he did not survive.
As of Saturday night, the car that the shooter used to escape had been located, through integrated work between the civilian police and the military police, and had already been searched. Teams continue to search for the shooter.
