The operation called “Levi-Lobera” resulted in the arrest of five people and the seizure of 2,280 kilograms of cocaine, they said in a press release.
Concretely, the operation It started in March this year when investigators learned that several people who were part of a criminal group intended to send drugs from the town of Fuengirola to the Netherlands, using a heavy goods vehicle dedicated to transporting goods by road.
After cross-checking the data obtained by agents of the two police forces, it was decided to create a joint task force in order to dismantle and arrest the members of this criminal group. Thanks to the information collected by investigators, the aforementioned truck was intercepted on French territory with 826 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside, arresting a person.
Likewise, this criminal organization had sent a second truck a short distance from the firstwhich was also detected by investigators from the province of Barcelona with 500 kilograms of cocaine inside.

The operational efforts carried out by the investigators continued to bear fruit when, in May, he was intercepted. a new road shipment to the United Kingdom, 200 kilograms of cocaine were seized, leading to the discovery of a “daycare” where the drug remained hidden on British territory until its distribution, where a further 180 kilograms of the same narcotic substance were seized.
In the same month of May, agents detected the stash of this narcotic using high-speed boats along the coast of the municipality of Marbella, which allowed investigators to discover a new drug “daycare” in the town of Mijas. When the investigators went to search the house, after noting the police presence, the drug traffickers set the house on fire.
Over there they hid the narcotic and his intention was to destroy it and make it disappear. The officers had to extinguish the flames and rescue these two people who were arrested. In the house, 520 kilos of cocaine, several stolen vehicles and a machine gun containing numerous ammunition were seized.
