In a violent incident in the early hours of December 10 in the city of Hernández, a security guard was seriously injured by a gunshot to the chest. They investigate the hypotheses that led to the brutal attack and carry out a search for the attackers.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. At that moment, members of the Northern Base Patrol Command were alerted by 911 to a call stating that a gray car had fired shots near 27th and 509th streets.
When the police reached the designated area, they came across a van of the same color, whose driver led them to a factory in Block 509 between 27th and 28th. There they found a man lying on the ground, supported by other workers on site who reported he had been shot.
The injured man had a significant blood stain in the sternum area, which is why, given the delay of the ambulance, the officials decided to urgently transfer him to the San Roque de Gonnet hospital. Doctors determined that the victim had a gunshot wound and the projectile lodged near the heart.
According to security personnel present at the site and the factory owner, the attack occurred while the worker was guarding the premises in a private company vehicle. Through cameras installed at the facility, a dark car was observed to pull up in front of the surveillance cell phone and open fire, forcing the security guard to run into the property for protection.
Hours later, around 5 a.m., it was reported that the victim had been referred to San Juan de Dios Hospital for surgery.
THE POLICE BACKGROUND IN THE GONNET FACTORY
The accused was a security employee who was involved in a violent robbery of millions in a factory in the La Plata district accomplice after the audacious coup by a band of Boqueteros, according to judicial and police sources.
The judiciary is investigating a robbery on the night of April 17, 2025 at an industrial plant in the city of Hernández, in which criminals managed to steal 200 million pesos and 100,000 dollars after opening a hole in the financial offices.
The investigation indicates that the security guard who was assigned to guard the location is now facing very serious allegations in the case and could face preventive detention. According to the public prosecutor’s office, at the key moment of the crime, the worker knowingly neglected his preventive duties, although the alarm sensors were activated at least twice and he replied that everything was “normal”.
The industrial plant, dedicated to the production and sale of oils and derivatives, was looted during a two-hour criminal operation in which the Boqueteros operated effectively without being detected. The public prosecutor’s office claims that the supervisor’s lack of reaction created a dangerous situation that made the robbery easier and therefore accuses him of having created a dangerous situation legally disapproved danger and to cooperate at least passively with the perpetrators.
