
A worker at a wholesale market was injured after stocks collapsed in the early hours of Wednesday (18/12). The security system of the establishment, located in the Jaguara region, west of São Paulo, detected the accident. The victim was rescued and transported to Hospital das Clínicas.
According to firefighters, 10 vehicles were called to the scene around 4 a.m. Rescue work was supported by the Emergency and Disaster Action Group (Gaed) and the employee was found with his legs trapped at 4:12 a.m. Two five-meter shelves containing 80 tonnes of materials collapsed. Officers were able to contact the man at 4:34 a.m.

Another video shows the technique used by firefighters to find the victim under the rubble. They shout and ask the man to speak out.
