In the latest edition of the Program for International Student Assessment (Pisa), in 2022, Brazil had less than 30% of its students achieving the minimum level of learning in mathematics. Japan has maintained good results, with 77% proficiency, and continues to be a benchmark for teaching quality in this subject.
