In the last hours of Friday, a witness alerted this newspaper to an event that shook part of the northern part of La Plata. After the hectic Christmas season and at the end of an atypical week, an event caused the last day of the week to be dark.
Around midnight, according to the voice communicated to this editorial team by telephone, a death was reported in a well-known supermarket in Ringuelet.
“A woman over seventy suffered multi-organ failure, became decompensated and died,” reported the witness present on site. According to the information, the hypermarket, whose premises are open 24 hours a day, had to close its operations to the public immediately after the death.
“It was surprising that due to the size of the industry, there were no qualified personnel to provide appropriate care or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), nor was there a cardiodefibrillator (or implantable cardioverter defibrillator – CDI) registered to respond to the situation,” added the man who contacted this newspaper.
