
According to witnesses, the crime was motivated by a fight between two women, until one pulled out a knife and hit the other. The victim even tried to take refuge by running towards the station, but ended up falling shortly after entering the scene, already weakened by his injuries. Traces of blood were scattered near the machines that reload boarding passes.
Niterói firefighters, who arrived on scene shortly after noon, reported that the victim had no papers, but “appeared to be around 50 years old.” According to the company, she was rescued and transported to the Azevedo Lima State Hospital, in Fonseca, northern zone of the city, in serious condition.
