A woman who was shot dead by her ex-husband asked for preventive action days before the murder

A 38-year-old woman was shot dead by her ex-partner on Saturday morning (29/11). The victim, Roselyn Barbosa do Espírito Santo, was a nursing technician and requested preventive action against the attacker days before the crime, after being subjected to threats and domestic violence. The femicide occurred in Rio Verde (GO), at a beverage distributor.

According to the military police in Goiás, the former partner, 36-year-old Edes Ramos Mandacari, allegedly fired at least four shots at Roselin. The victim was on the sidewalk of the commercial establishment when he was surprised and, without any opportunity to defend, shot him repeatedly.

In a police report recorded on November 25, Roselyn stated that Edis threatened to kill her. She also reported that, in addition to attacks, she was constantly subjected to intimidation, insults and defamation.

The Civil Police of Goiás continues to investigate the case to clarify further details regarding the murder of the women.
