Former federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ) was warned this Friday (26/12) by the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), as part of an administrative procedure which requests the restitution of the R$10,000 overpaid to him by the agency.
As Ramagem is still at large in the United States, the notification was made through the Official Gazette of the Union, due to the fact that “the person concerned” was “in an uncertain and unknown location”. The additional R$10,000 refers to workloads he received when he was general director of Abin under the government of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) – from 2019 to March 2022.
This Friday’s notification, “out of respect for the contradiction and the broad defense”, asks Ramagem to present, within 15 days, a written statement in the file. Check it out:

Ramagem has been in the United States since September this year, after fleeing Brazil. The former parliamentarian was sentenced to 16 years and one month in prison for participation in the putsch plot, for three of the five crimes charged by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).

Ramagem saw his mandate as federal deputy revoked by the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies on 12/18. The reason was the conviction of the STF in the investigation into the coup attempt.
