
An accident involving four trucks, a bus and a passenger vehicle left 43 injured and one dead in the early hours of this Thursday (12/11), on Rodovia Presidente Dutra, near Taubaté, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to firefighters, the accident occurred around 3:10 a.m. The highway concessionaire, CCR RioSP, counted 38 injured, out of danger. Five others were transported to the regional hospital, two of whom were rescued by firefighters and three by the concessionaire that manages the track. The bus driver died instantly.

A fuel leak occurred on the highway, leading to the closure of lanes towards Rio de Janeiro. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) is on site and an expertise has been requested.
In a statement, the dealership said it provided immediate assistance to those affected by the accident. The company said that Lanes 1 and 2 have already been opened to traffic and currently the Presidente Dutra Highway has 20 kilometers of congestion.
