The acts against the National Congress convened by social movements and government parties for Sunday (12/14) will serve as a thermometer for President Lula’s position in relation to PL Dosimetry.
The current head of the Palácio do Planalto, as the chronicle reports, plans to veto the proposal, which has already been approved by the Chamber of Deputies and could be analyzed by the Federal Senate next week.

According to Lula’s allies heard by the chronicle, the president will carefully assess, with his collaborators, the impact of Sunday’s demonstrations to determine what he will do with the project.
Planalto members say that, depending on the final approved text, Lula could partially veto the proposal or even not take a position and let Congress adopt the project.
The text approved by deputies and which will be voted on in the Senate provides for a reduction in the sentences of former President Jair Bolsonaro and other people convicted in the context of the investigation into the coup plot.

What Lula has already said about this
In an interview given Thursday (11/12) to TV Alterosa, an affiliate of SBT in Minas Gerais, Lula indicated that he was in no hurry to make the decision and defended that Bolsonaro pays for his crimes.
“The National Congress is in discussion, now it goes to the Senate. Let’s see what happens. When it comes to my table, I will make the decision. It will be me and God, sitting at my table, I will make the decision. I will do what I understand of what needs to be done, because he (Bolsonaro) has to pay for the attempted coup, for the attempt to destroy democracy that he made in this country. He knows it. There is no point in whining now,” the PT member said.
