The meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump ended this Sunday (12/28) and lasted about 2 hours. Commenting on the meeting, Trump called the meeting “excellent” and said negotiations for a ceasefire with Russia had progressed about 95 percent.
During the meeting, held at Mar-a-Lago, the Republicans’ private club in Palm Beach, Florida, the two leaders also spoke by telephone with representatives of the European Union about the latest peace proposal for Ukraine.
According to the Republican, an agreement could be reached in the coming weeks. Trump, however, said he was not meeting deadlines and acknowledged that negotiations could fail.
