The Minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes authorized former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to receive a doctor for an ultrasound. The decision was made this Friday (12).
“Visits by the condemned’s doctors, duly registered, do not require prior communication, in compliance with the legal and judicial determinations previously established,” the order specifies. The ultrasound was requested this Thursday (11).
Bolsonaro’s lawyers requested on Tuesday (9) permission to leave the Federal Police Superintendency of Brasilia, where he is detained, to undergo new health procedures.
According to the defense, the former president needs surgery for hiccups and a hernia, which would require immediate hospitalization for 5 to 7 days. Under these conditions, Moraes ordered an expertise to assess the necessity of this procedure.
