A video released by the Civil Police of Goiás (PCGO) shows the beginning of the ambush that took place on the night of October 1, 2025, which led to serious attacks on Ecuador Villanovense fans and the theft of their property in Goiânia. Nine suspects were arrested on Thursday (4/12) during “Operation Final Round”, which carried out arrest, search and seizure warrants in Goiânia and Aparecida de Goiânia.
According to investigations, some of the suspects have links to national criminal factions, such as the Comando Vermelho (CV).
The attack occurred at Conjunto Residencial São Geraldo, while Vila Nova fans were returning from an amateur football match linked to Esquadrão Vilanovense fans. One of the victims suffered head trauma and required medical care. The other four were also beaten, and their clothes and belongings were stolen.
During the operation, police seized sharp weapons, vehicles used in the attack, mobile phones and items associated with the organized fans. Two suspects have already been arrested in this act shortly after the crime occurred.
