An explosion in a house located in the Madrid municipality of Moraleja de Enmedio caused serious material damage to the building on Sunday evening and required three neighbors to be rescued. Summa 112 health workers treated the three people, who suffered minor injuries and were released on the spot.
Six teams of firefighters from the Community of Madrid went to the scene. As reported by the Emergency Service 112 of the Community of Madrid, the three people were on the first floor of the building, but firefighters rescued them with a ladder because access to the house was blocked.
The firefighters also reviewed the entire structure of the property and carried out sanitation work in the damaged home. “Following the shock wave, the house and two other houses located on the upper floor were affected,” reported a spokesperson for the police.
Due to the detonation, which could be due to a butane gas explosion, according to initial hypotheses, several vehicles parked in the neighboring street were also affected.
The Civil Guard took charge of the investigation to determine the causes of the explosion.
