Transition, renewal and the harvest of lived moments in a year that says goodbye. With these feelings, Lucila Crespo Derderian And Daniel Lopez − Creators of Lûminis, an event facilities company − designed a New Year’s Eve table for 30 people in the vineyards of Gamboa Winery.
“It all started when I saw a on social media very long imperial table from a wedding in Tuscany. I thought: It would be incredible to recreate something like that in Argentina with our print,” Lucila began.
“The team we assembled was a luxury. Each one contributed their expertise to bring this proposal to life. We chose the green monochrome, an absolute trend of this season.”
“Stationery always enhances a table. It gives it delicacy and a formal touch. Instead of the classic menu, we opted for something different: a fan with a green tassel and the word ‘Let’s celebrate’, the spirit of the proposal.”
To add formality, The floor-length tablecloth was non-negotiable: They made it from Tussor fabric with stripes, a detail that adds character and harmonizes with the matching umbrellas.
In the middle of the creative process, Lucila felt more connected to the present than ever and decided to add something unexpected detail: some delphinium Bluerare flowers in the market. “They gave it the wild vibe I was looking for. They are some of my favorites and they are at their best,” he says.
65 kilometers from Buenos Aires, The winery was the setting chosen by the designers due to its unique landscapes. Located between Cardales and Campana, it has six hectares of extensive vineyards growing varieties such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
“We feel at home in the winery. We were inspired by the idea of a New Year’s Eve table where friends can meet again, and what could be nicer than a long table that invites you to share.” The most beautiful moment was undoubtedly placing the final flower arrangements and seeing the finished work: elegant, integrated into the landscape and ready for celebration.
“After a decade of experience, we are bored of doing the same thing. We are passionate about novelty and although the table maintains its imperial style, I feel that we are innovating with other resources such as the large striped tablecloth, the umbrellas, the flowers and the carefully selected fruits and vegetables.”
“We have such a connection with Dani that we sometimes understand each other without words. This work awakened her most creative and sensitive side. I was thrilled to see that she had made a path of grapes in the middle of the table, just as I had imagined.”
Lucila and Daniel were looking for the right balance: A table that retains its elegance without losing its closeness. “We bring luxury down to earth with simple details, as Chandeliers and long candles which provide warmth and a formal touch. “This contrast between the sophisticated and the rustic defines our style.”
“The green of the table was inspired by the color of the vineyard and the burgundy details recall the purple grapes. We wanted the chairs to match the style of the table: elegant but integrated into the environment. The Louis XV are the perfect combination between formal and rustic.”
