In Almería, the floods, which began to fall very intensely from the early hours of dawn, were able to accumulate up to 120 liters per square meter in 12 hours. In Valencia, on the coast of the province, it can reach 180 liters per square meter, although the totals for the episode expected today and in the early hours of the morning can exceed 250 liters.
On its social networks, Aemet warned of possible floods and a sudden increase in accidents that could occur following torrential rains, and emphasized the importance of following the recommendations of Civil Protection. In addition to flood warnings, warnings have been activated for strong storms in Andalusia, Murcia and the Valencian Community, as well as for heavy oil on the Andalusian coast and in Ceuta.
In the Canary Islands, the storm has subsided, but seven islands of the archipelago remain on alert due to strong winds and oil, all at the “yellow” level (low danger), except La Palma, where the alert level continues to be “orange” due to the strong wind and the oil burning the island.
