The Andalusian Parliament will approve next Thursday the budget of the Autonomous Community for the year 2026, the seventh under the presidency of Juanma Moreno, which amounts to 51.597 million euros. It is “the greatest in all history” and will allow … health, education and dependency “a momentum like never seen before”, declared Sunday the Minister of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue and spokesperson for the Andalusian government, Caroline Spain, in an audio sent by the Council to the media.
The Treasury Minister stressed that these budgets “are the result of a growing economy, which generates jobs, attracts investment and provides opportunities for entrepreneurs and the self-employed.” This means, he assures, “completely changing the face of Andalusia that we saw at the end of 2018”. Furthermore, this represents a symptom of stability because budgets are the main instrument of the Executive to implement its policies.
Carolina España defended that the accounting “is not only a success for the government of Juanma Moreno”, but “a success for all the Andalusian people” which gave the Parliament an absolute majority of 58 of the 109 deputies. In this context, he stressed that stability is “the best political tool” that Andalusia currently has and highlighted the importance of valuing it compared to other administrations that “accumulate years without a budget”. Spain stressed that amendments from other political parties had been incorporated.
The law on cultural heritage
On the other hand, the councilor announced that in addition to the budgets, the Andalusian Parliament will also approve this week the new heritage law of the Junta de Andalucía. “40 years later we will have modern, clear and useful law, this will allow us to bring order and transparency to the situations of ruin and abandonment of the past,” he explained.
Last Tuesday, December 2, the Andalusian Cultural Heritage Bill spent its entire debate in the plenary of Parliament after the PP-A. reject the amendments in their entirety which The Socialist and Por Andalucía groups presented themselves.
This way, The bill was able to continue its processing in the Culture and Sports Committee of the Andalusian Parliament, as confirmed by the President of the Chamber, Jesús Aguirre, following the vote on all the amendments.
For her part, the Minister of Culture and Sports, Patricia del Pozo, was responsible for defending in plenary this bill which renews the legal framework of the autonomous community in the field of heritage in order to “guarantee their guardianship, protection, conservationenrichment, research, dissemination and transmission to future generations.
The regulation, which replaces Law 14/2007 on the historical heritage of Andalusia, incorporates the “more modern conceptions of heritage, reinforces the presence of heritage material and immaterial, ethnological and integrates audiovisual and paleontology, encourages participation and awareness of citizens and rationalizes management, combining the promotion of economic activity and maximum respect for heritage values, element of identity of the Andalusian people”, according to the Government of the Junta.
