The Junta de Andalucía has sealed a protocol of actions for the promotion of nautical tourism. The Ministry of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing, through the Public Agency of Ports of Andalusia (APPA), and the Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Andalusia, … through the Public Company for Tourism and Sports Management of Andalusia, have signed this agreement, which will establish a coordinated strategy for the promotion and development of nautical and recreational tourism in Andalusia.
The Minister of Development, Rocio Diazhighlighted the need to enter into alliances to “take advantage of the great potential of Andalusia, with more than 900 kilometers of coastline and more than 18,000 berths distributed among our nautical and sports facilities”. “Everything works in our favor for our ports to be a first-class tourist showcase,” he declared.
Díaz considered that nautical tourism “is a sector with high growth potential and with a notable impact on economic development, job creation and the diversification of the Andalusian tourist offer”. It is for this reason that he deepened the need for “coordinated actions that generate synergies between the fields of tourism and nautical in order to guarantee an integrated, competitive and sustainable offer”.

Additionally, an attempt will be made to define and execute a common national and international promotion strategy with a joint presence in fairs and boat shows with the aim of promoting the Andalusian destination and its nautical marinas.
