The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) will hold an extraordinary meeting of the collegiate council on Thursday (18). On the agenda are the processes that deal with the average adjustment of tariffs in Amapá, calculated by the technical area at 24% for this year.
The process was to be analyzed by the agency’s board of directors last week, but the discussion was postponed by the rapporteur, director Agnès da Costa, who, at the request of the Equatorial CEA, decided to remove the process from the agenda.
The director said the company requested clarification on the distribution of values to be negotiated in the renegotiation of the Use of Public Good (UBP), a type of fee paid by hydroelectric plants, recently approved by the National Congress.
The President of the National Congress, Senator Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), and the Head of Government in Congress, Randolfe Rodrigues (PT-AP), also filed a letter to Aneel to suspend the tariff adjustment with the same argument, requesting the use of resources to reduce the state tariff adjustment.
The subject should also be debated on Thursday, since Aneel’s agenda provides for the process that deals with the distribution of collected resources linked to the renegotiation of deadlines due to UBP. The process is also reported by director Agnes da Costa.
Last week, the agency approved the opening of a public consultation to improve the methodology for calculating the balance of use of public goods. The estimate of the technical area, taking into account the proposed model, is to raise 8.8 billion reais through the renegotiation.
In addition, the agency’s board of directors must analyze the processes that deal with the establishment of fixed income for the Angra 1 and 2 nuclear power plants, effective January 1, and the process of accepting the transfer of corporate control from Emae (Empresa Metropolitana de Águas e Energia) to Sabesp.
