Anitta has picked up the pace towards Carnival 2026. The singer released the EP Ensaios da Anitta, with six new tracks and a generous list of appearances, at the same time as she confirmed the new season of pre-carnival shows in Brazil. The route crosses the capitals and the interior of São Paulo between January and February, with the theme “Cosmos” as a common thread. Costumes, concept and speeches are already planned for another summer of road, music and a busy schedule.

And the duality between public persona and life off-stage tends to appear whenever Carnival enters the scene. Between more spiritualized speeches on the networks (with her new “Zen phase)” and words that don’t beat around the bush, the singer has heard it all. MetropolisesAnitta directly explained how these versions coexist without conflict.
“Anitta and Larissa are part of the same person. This means that even though today I am a more spiritual person, I continue to be the same woman who is the mega protagonist of her own sexuality and who carries it on stage and in songs. I will always allow myself to exercise all these elements of my identity. What matters is balance (laughs).”
The EP also marks a musical reunion with Pabllo Vittar, a partnership that is back on the radar after years and much-discussed behind-the-scenes performances in the past. The new collaboration has reignited curiosity about old controversies between the two. But for Anitta, the focus remains on the connection and the end result.
“I’m in love with Pabllo, aren’t you? A partnership that went beyond work. And I loved the outcome of ‘Fala Quem É’!”
Rhythms and rules of the festivities
With so much feats brought together in a Carnival project, the question is inevitable: who will take the rehearsal stage? The singer has already made it clear in other seasons that the show does not function as an obligatory parade of guests. But this time, she indicates that the public can create certain expectations (with caution).
“You can be sure that all the features on the EP will be invited. These are artists that I love, most of them have even participated in the rehearsals with me. But it always depends on their schedule and other variables, you know? I think the audience already understands how it works.”
Partnerships with names linked to brega, piseiro and technology, such as Viviane Batidão and Priscilla Senna, also spark an old debate about regional visibility and space in the music industry. Anitta ensures that the choice is not based on provocation, but rather on affinity.
“These statements are super valid. I really connect with everything authentically Brazilian and I really enjoy all the rhythms. Piseiro, technomelody and crazy rock are genres that are always on my playlist. I love them and that’s nothing new. Since I thought of this Ensaios EP as a celebration of our culture and the most Brazilian party in the world, why not bring them into the circle?”
And when it comes to Carnival, freedom is usually the most repeated word, but also the most controversial. The singer therefore emphasizes that the festivities do not need a complex manual. Just combine fun and responsibility.
“I hope people have fun in their own way. Whether they kiss or not, what matters is being happy! Remember that ‘no means no’. Respect women, respect others. Take precautions, right?! And do it!”
