The expansion of major fast food chains in Argentina continues to focus on strategic locations on corridors with high vehicle traffic. In Gran Rosario, the Mostaza chain is just a few days away from completing one of its most anticipated openings: the inauguration of its locally at Route 9 and Juan José Paso, in the city of Funes. After several months of work, the franchise management confirmed that the landing will take place before the end of 2025, The aim is to consolidate its presence in a metropolitan region that shows sustainable growth.
The new fast food restaurant will be located on a strategic site with high visibility. Those moving in the area are already noticing that the work is practically complete, the building is finished and the final details for the parking lot have been finalized. This opening in Funes is part of Mostaza’s expansion plan in the greater Rosario area, a region that the company has strengthened in recent years with new points of sale and formats adapted to different urban scales.

The Mostaza location in Villnöss was designed according to the chain’s modern “all-in-one” concept, which includes a comprehensive range of services to attract both the family crowd and the thousands of vehicles that travel along Route 9 every day.
The facility will occupy a covered area of approximately 400 square meters and will have the capacity to receive approximately 200 customers at the same time. In addition, the location on the route required the creation of a large area for vehicles.
The main features of the new outlet are:
- Living room and rooms: Combination of indoor lounge and outdoor dining areas.
- Car mustard: A drive-thru system so customers can pick up their orders without getting out of their vehicle.
- Technology: Attention through digital totems for self-management that are intended to shorten waiting times.
- Parking: An area of approximately 1,200 square meters, essential for the drive-in system and for those who come to consume on site.
When the infrastructure work was almost completed, the company began looking for personnel, preferably young people between 16 and 20 years old, residing in Funes or the surrounding area, to create new jobs and strengthen its commitment to the Rosario metropolitan area.
McDonald’s has opened its 24-hour location on Route 3
The trend of betting on busy routes is also repeated in the south of the greater Buenos Aires area. A few days ago, McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in the town of Cañuelas, strategically located on National Highway No. 3, a few meters from the exit of the Ezeiza-Cañuelas highway.
This new location stands out for offering travelers and transport operators an essential service: 24-hour assistance.
The Cañuelas branch includes the brand’s most modern and technological formats, including:
- 24-hour service and AutoMac: An all-day service and the popular AutoMac system that can be operated from the vehicle.
- Comprehensive formats: Integration of McCafé, a Playland area for children and digital kiosks for self-management.
- Sustainability: The spaces are designed according to energy efficiency standards with LED lighting and water recovery systems.
With this opening, McDonald’s reached 231 locations across the country, complementing the recent opening in Moreno (at Acceso Oeste), creating a total of 180 new jobs.
