Criminals attempted to use drone to deliver drugs to Porto Alegre public prison
Criminal police arrested two men on Friday evening (12/12) after attempting to deliver illicit goods by drone to the Porto Alegre public prison. The action was led by Gaes and included the use of the anti-drone system, which detected the illegal overflight.

During the search, the suspects attempted to flee into a wooded area, but were captured. With them, officers found the drone, controller, cell phones, drugs, charger and money. Both were monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet.
The anti-drone technology was acquired by the state government in May 2025, with an investment of 4.9 million reais, and has already been used in several penitentiary units.
