
A police chase ended with the arrest of a man on Sunday evening (14/12), after he stole an app driver’s car and tried to flee. The criminal was intercepted on BR-070, near Estrutural.
The Federal District Military Police (PMDF) were called after an app driver, who was participating in a ride in Ceilândia, was approached by a knife-wielding thief and had his vehicle stolen.
The crime occurred when the victim had just stopped to board a pregnant passenger, accompanied by two children.

The theft was reported via Copom, when a Rotam vehicle saw the stolen vehicle driving along the BR-070. While fleeing, the suspect ran over two people and attempted to hit a third pedestrian.
During the chase, police issued a stop order, which was ignored by the driver. In an attempt to lose the teams, the driver collided with six vehicles, pushing one of them off the road.
After tactical follow-up, the police team managed to intercept the vehicle. During a preliminary check, it was found that the perpetrator had a criminal record for vehicle theft. The incident was forwarded to the 8th (structural) police station.
