Shazam It’s one of the most famous music apps in the world and has for years been able to identify songs in just seconds by simply moving your cell phone closer to the music that’s playing. Apple It purchased it in 2018 and has since gradually integrated it into its ecosystem, improving features and further expanding its services for listeners and artists.
Now from Cupertino they have a new function for Shazam called “Popular sections” which allow us to see which specific parts of a song generated the most interest among users. That is, instead of just focusing on the entire song, the app shows which songs are the pieces that have been most frequently searched for or identified recently.
With Shazam you can find out which part of the song people like the most
What they want with this new section is to highlight the moments of a song that generated the most activity in Shazam over the past week, like refrains, catchy phrases or fragments that have gone viral on social networks. This way, users can quickly find out which part of a song attracted the most attention or which part they liked the most.
Shazam presents the functionality in the form of a graphic throughout the song showing the popularity of each section. By moving the slider or tapping the graph, you can see the exact moments that generated the most searches with clear, easy-to-understand timestamps.
From Apple they assure that the objective is to offer a clearer vision of the parts that stand out most among listeners and not only improves user experience but also provides valuable insights to artistsbecause they understand the moments that really capture the attention.
This function is already available both in the Shazam mobile application and in its version for computers.
