At least one dead in knife and smoke bomb attack outside two Taipei subway stations

MADRID, December 19 (EUROPA PRESS) –

An individual armed with a knife and smoke bombs carried out a stabbing attack this Friday at the exit of two subway stations in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, which has left one person dead so far, as police sources reported to the official CNA news agency.

The deceased was not directly attacked with the knife but suffered a cardiac arrest following the explosion of several smoke grenades thrown by the attacker.

Taiwan Prime Minister Cho Jung Tai has already been informed of the incident and ordered the full mobilization of security forces and emergency personnel.
