Its second day took place in the Fourth Oral and Criminal Court for the oral and public trial of the alleged perjury of the writers Marcelo Tagliaferro and Patricia Godoy, in a case derived from the La Plata quadruple crime.
Sources in the case said there were six new testimonies on Tuesday. On the one hand, they were neighbors of Osvaldo Martinez, mainly because of the false testimony of Godoy, the woman who said she saw him coming home, after twelve o’clock at night, pointing to a car and so on.
Most of the testimonies agreed that they saw Martinez arriving that night, that is, the night before the quadruple murders, and that, as Martinez announced, he got into the car and closed the gate and they did not see him again all night, until the night until the next day when the police came.
As we mentioned before this trial, Patricia GodoyHe is one of the other witnesses cited in the investigation responsible for Finance Anna MedinaHe confirmed that he saw Martinez arrive at his home Melchor Romero That morning, I got out of the car without my shirt on Fiat Uno white. Osvaldo “Alito” Martinez, the complainant and the injured individual, also appeared before the judges: “I have suffered greatly because of the statements made by Tagliaferro and Godoy. And also because of what the prosecutor Álvaro Garganta did, who took advantage of those false testimonies to keep me in prison.”
Martinez noted that Godoy falsely testified against him: “He said that I came home covered in skin and blood on the day of the murder. I had never seen that woman in my life. What he said was proven to be a lie.” He explained: “I don’t want revenge, I want justice.”
Yesterday, Herminia Lopez, Martínez’s mother, finally testified, strongly criticizing the criminal process to which her son was subjected, calling it “corrupt” and pointing to the decisions made by Prosecutor Alvaro Garganta and Guarantee Judge Guillermo Atencio.
The trial will continue on Tuesday from 11 a.m.
